On Tuesday 19 June 2018 over 70 cadets from 348 (Ilkeston),126 (City of Derby ), 2195 (Long eaton) and 1211(Swadlingcote) squadrons, along with a contingent from derbyshire ACF, took part in the Beating Retreat and Sunset Ceremony in Ilkeston Market Place, to mark the centenary year of the end of the First World War.
Cadets formed a Guard of Honour for HM Lord Lieutenant of Derbyshire Mr William Tucker and accompanying dignitaries, as well as lining the square. After performaces by Ilkeston Brass, GEM Connection Barbershop Chorus and the Nottinghamshire Band of the Royal Engineers, CWO Severn of 348 (Ilkeston) Sqn and FS Blount of 126 (City of Derby) Sqn lowered the Union Jack as the Last Post played.
